Small Business Strong

During the world wide pandemic of COVID-19, so many small businesses were negatively impacted and many never to reopen. With weddings on hold for who knows how long, I decided to start my #Kppsmallbusinessstrong project! I wanted to give back to my community and small businesses. I began purchasing many items from small local businesses as well as some across the country. I also decided to host these sessions to support and spread the word for local businesses! I had no idea how big this project would actually be until the first week! It has been so amazing showcasing these businesses, meeting these crazy amazing entrepreneurs and families and creating friendships with many!

So here they are! Some of the most awesome, talented and knowledgeable small businesses in Queen Anne's, Kent and Talbot County MD.

First up we have Price Rentals & Events!

We Love a Good Party

Most days you’ll find CJ in the showroom and Jason will be either in the warehouse loading orders, or on a jobsite doing a tent install. When we started this business, we wanted to make sure that our clients knew the owners were involved from start to finish. You won’t find us hiding in a back office somewhere! Our ultimate goal is find better ways to serve YOU, our client, and we can’t do it without getting to know you and your event process from start to finish.

Most people can’t work with their spouse day in and day out, but we work better together! Most people know that we’re workaholics, and we can’t help but talk about our work at any hour of the day! But when we’re not working on our business, you can find us at home with our two kids, Violet and Oliver, and our two miniature dachshunds!

We’re most passionate about making sure we deliver an epic client experience, from the initial e-mail or showroom consultation to your final installation. Planning an event can be stressful, and our goal is to make it simple, smooth, and something you want to do again! Our motto “we love a good party” is for a good reason: we LOVE an epic party, whether it’s a wedding or just a family backyard barbecue. If you made the time to plan an event, we’re going to make sure it goes effortlessly with the rentals.

Stam's Luncheonette

Located on the site of a 19th century pharmacy that operated until 2016, Stam’s Luncheonette is continuing to carry the torch for a beloved Chestertown landmark.

For generations, Stam’s was the place you went to celebrate, to connect and to refresh. From root beer floats before Homecoming to birthday hot fudge sundaes or just a to-order, freshly made cherry Coke, Stam’s has always been a community touchstone and a place to enjoy the tastiest, simplest pleasures.

In 2018, the building was purchased and renovations began to give renewed life and a fresh look to Stam’s, bringing it back to its original appearance while updating the interior so we could welcome a whole new generation to the lunch counter and soda fountain.

Today, it is our honor to carry forward the Stam’s tradition—and to joyfully sustain our community with every banana split and grilled cheese we make.

Chef/owner Brandywine White brings her background as a professional pastry chef to Stam’s Luncheonette. With a passion for pastries, cakes, ice cream, and staples of classic American fare, Brandywine hopes to recreate the delicious treats of generations past as well as the favorite treats of today.

Brandywine is married to Kent County native Neyah White, and when not at Stam’s, you can find her at home in Chestertown with daughter Suzie, baking and experimenting with new, delicious recipes.

Little White Church Vintage

My sweet Mama & I have a love for vintage furniture! We started to collect even more once I was engaged ready for all the pre wedding projects. We decided why not rent what we have instead of needing to clear some stuff out after the wedding and share our final products with the world! We have a wide range of things to rent such as our pews, barrels, vintage tea cart, multiple arches and more!

Fit With Aundra

Aundra is such a gem! Her bubbly, sweet and powerful personality is so contagious as well as her excitement and passion for fitness! Go check her out and hop in one of her classes!

A lover of movement, Aundra Anderson has been leading fitness classes since 2009. It all started with Zumba. “I walked into my first Zumba class and left completely hooked. I wanted more!” She started taking Zumba classes every single day and was devastated when her instructor announced that she was moving. She quickly made a decision – have no Zumba or go get trained to lead a class herself!

The rest was history (which, coincidentally, was her major at Washington College). After teaching Zumba for several years and obtaining her Group Fitness certification through Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA), Aundra started branching out, offering Insanity, Turbo Kick, and PiYo—all classes offered by the Beachbody programming. Since then, she has added certifications to teach Barre, Buti Yoga, HIGH Fitness, LIIT (lower intensity interval training), Pound Fitness, Xtreme Hip Hop, Yin Yoga, and Yoga.

She leads group classes in parks, via zoom, and offers a variety of free classes on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. She hosts private facebook accountability groups and challenges, and she is also available to teach private group classes (and 1:1 yoga sessions) and corporate group fitness classes.

Dylan's Custom Creations

"I started woodworking through growing up being in 4-H and seeing other people build things I figured it would be pretty cool to build something myself. At that time still being too young to operate power tools, my dad showed me the ropes of how to build a patio table from start to finish. From there It went to building outdoor planters and fixing up old hay wagons. Once I got into high school I always knew I wanted to take the carpentry classes and learn more about construction, after taking the classes and still building small things it was pretty obvious in the back of my mind what I wanted to do. A few years after high school after working on the boat all summer I went into winter with little work and started building items and took to social media and that’s where it took off. The next year I took a week long advanced woodworking class and learned more than I ever had and took what I learned there and applied it to my work and exploded the craftsmanship and overall quality and started doing things I’d never thought I could do with my two hands."

Dylan offers all things wooden from Huge Dining tables to small cutting boards.

Dining tables, coffee tables, entertainment centers, cabinets, cutting boards, benches, entryway tables,

CNC work; routed engraved signs, intricate cut-outs, welcome signs, kitchen and other indoor signs, outdoor/driveway signs, logo/emblem carving

Tracy's Healthy Living

After years of working as a researcher and health journalist, I knew that getting a good night’s sleep was extremely important to our mental and physical health. But, I also knew that many of us, especially our young people, were not getting the rest that their bodies required to perform their best. This lack of rest was also putting them at risk for things like diabetes, mental illness, and Alzheimer’s Disease. So now I work around the country, mostly with college and high school athletes and their coaches helping them live their best lives by getting the rest they need!

Blue Line CNC

Hello my name is Andrew and I am the owner and designer here at Blueline CNC. I built this business out of a love for woodworking, America and support of our Military and First Responders. Blueline CNC is a business that provides unique and custom rustic wood American Flags, Plaques, signs, challenge coin holders, Retirement Shadowboxes and more. I created our BattleScar Flag which quickly became a center piece in customer’s homes. The level of detail and craftsman ship is apparent in every item we make. We are committed to our community and supporting others whenever possible.

Blueline CNC Woodworking & Design was officially created in 2018, but I have been woodworking most of my life after learning from my grandfather at a young age. Here at Blueline CNC we combine advanced design technology, CNC and old fashion handcrafted woodwork. We specialize in unique custom projects with an emphasis on the military, first responders and Patriots. We are proud of our Battlescar flag, which can be framed and have custom plaques attached. These make great retirement gifts. We have the capabilities to take your logo, badge, department patch, business logo, or anything else and create a 2d/3d sign or plaque with it. Our items aren’t your traditional signs and plaques though. Take a look at our gallery of past projects to see what we mean!

This is a “part-time” business that is basically full time. I do everything myself here and thoroughly enjoy creating your projects.

Custom Work:

Blueline CNC is built around custom orders. Want a plaque made with your department logo? Need a challenge coin holder built with a custom military logo? Want an equipment caddy for your duty gear? Contact us! We can design everything from an urn with your pets picture carved into it to a full custom retirement flag or shadowbox! Custom work is our specialty. Every piece is unique and has my personal touch and typically light distressing to it. We HIGHLY specialize in Military and First Responder items, retirement gifts, and anything that screams AMERICA.

I start by taking your idea and seeing exactly what you are looking for. If you are unsure, then I can design it from scratch myself. Next I design everything using advanced design software. This may involve re-designing any logos into carve-able art formats, creating artwork, or just simply sketching something out on grid paper. After the software and/or sketch is done, you receive a “mock-up” for approval. Lastly, your project enters the building stage where good ol’ fashion woodwork begins. This may involve carving, sanding, gluing, nailing, planing, jointing, painting/staining and sealing. Pricing for your project depends on complexity and man hours involved. Some complex 3D carvings may take several hours to carve, and then a couple more hours of sanding and finish work. Simply message or email me for a free quote at anytime!

How we Began:

Blueline CNC was created from the love of a hobby. Andrew’s grandfather was a wood worker and he can remember helping him and learning in his shop during his youth. He always loved woodworking and the art of designing and crafting works of art.

Andrew started law enforcement at a young age, a couple years out of high school. He had wanted to go into the military, due to a devotion and love for America, but instead decided to protect the homeland as a State Trooper. His love for his country only grew stronger as the years went on. Being in Law Enforcement, and having a deep love for America, he found himself routinely searching for places to buy handmade decor, made in America, and other pieces of custom art. The American Flag has always amazed him. His wife Justine and he have a love for farmhouse style decor and anything distressed / old fashion. They would go to markets and furniture stores and nothing would stick out. They noticed several places selling wood Flags and Plaques online, but noted they were either too pricey, all the same, or sub-par pieces. They realized they wanted more. Due to this,Andrew took what skills he had and began hand-making these pieces for his own home and my friends/family. Police Officers and members of the US Military began ordering items with Police and Military logos, and he loved working on these types of projects. He started to enjoy producing content online for others to see and found himself having a want and need to give back to the community he has worked in for so many years

This hobby quickly turned into an obsession to create something bigger. Thus, Blueline CNC was born. Andrew’s entrepreneur drive mixed with his wood working skills, created something that would take his mind away from the stress and horrible things witnessed through law enforcement. He began devoting himself to creating handcrafted pieces of art. He transformed this passion into an almost full time business which has put smiles on numerous individuals faces - TRUE American Hero’s and their families, friends and supporters. Left

The Future:

Blueline CNC will continue to grow and create products that put smiles on people’s faces. If you can dream it, we can build it. We will continue to specialize in unique pieces with our personal design touch. Let us design something for you if you’re unsure what you’d like.

We have a dedicated wood shop where we mix technology with good old fashion handcrafted woodwork. Whether you are a first responder, Military, Teacher, Plumber, entrepreneur or just a full blood patriot, let us create something unique for you to showcase.

100% made in America, by a veteran Law Enforcement Officer. Stay Safe.
